PARTS LIST:

1 Driver/Left Taillight Guard 2 4-.70mm x 15mm Hex Head Bolts

1 Passenger/Right Taillight Guard 2 4mm Lock Washers

2 Support Brackets 2 4mm ID x 9mm OD x 1mm Flat Washers

PROCEDURE:

1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ

INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.

2. IMPORTANT! Cover the finish edge around the taillight housing with masking tape to protect the

finish of the vehicle when removing the taillight housing and installing the Taillight Guard.

3. Open the rear door and remove the driver’s side screws holding the taillight housing (Figure 1).

4. Grasp the taillight housing with one hand and pull with your other hand gently. NOTE: Be sure to

pull straight out towards the rear of the vehicle to avoid possible damage. This is the same

procedure required to change a burn out taillight bulb in the assembly. For more info see owner’s

manual on replacing burn taillight bulbs.

5. Once you have removed the taillight housing, carefully disconnect the wire harness and set aside.

6. Remove the upper locating stud from taillight using a T20 torx wrench. Attach one of the Support

Brackets to taillight by using the factory locating stud (Figure 2). Reconnect the wire harness and

then snap taillight back into place. NOTE: The bend end of the Support Bracket should be facing

the rear of the vehicle (Figure 3). Fully tighten at this time.

7. Position Taillight Guard over taillight and attach it to vehicle using the factory hardware (Figure

4).

8. Attach the Taillight Guard to Support Bracket using the included (1) 4mm x 15mm Phillips Screws,

(1) 4mm Lock Washer, and (1) 4mm Flat Washer (Figure 5).

9. Adjust Taillight Guard properly, and then tighten all hardware at this time.

10. Repeat steps 2 – 9 for passenger side Taillight Guard.

11. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.

To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a

protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could

damage the finish.

For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild

soap may be used also to clean the Taillight Guard.

For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Taillight Guard.
